The Jared Kamrass Scholarship for Public Service is intended for students who are passionate about public service and have demonstrated a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Also eligible are high school seniors who have been accepted to a university. This scholarship is open to all majors and fields of study. Jared Kamrass, Principal at Technicolor Campaigns and founder of Rivertown Strategies, is a passionate political strategist and consultant based in Cincinnati, OH. Jared’s interest in politics began early in life, inspired by his father’s love for the TV series West Wing and Barack Obama’s electrifying DNC Convention Speech in 2004. However, it was his personal experience battling cancer as a college student that motivated him to pursue a career in public service and work toward ending healthcare inequities. After graduating from Ohio State University, Jared managed local campaigns before starting his own consulting firm, Rivertown Strategies, which grew to be one of the top Democratic consulting shops in the Midwest. In the 2020 cycle, he served as a Senior Advisor to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and played a crucial role in preserving a Democratic majority. Today, Jared uses his skills as an ad maker and media consultant at Technicolor Campaigns to help elect Democratic candidates and advance progressive causes across the country.
